Christmas 2013

Walkers first Christmas! Started Christmas Eve at grandmas for lunch, then to grandmama and granddaddys for dinner. Santa came and left the boys with some clothes, Weston a rocket ship and train tracks, and walker some much needed diapers! Christmas Day was spent with breakfast at our house, lunch at nana and granddaddys and supper with Emma Betty. Such a great day! We are really so blessed!

8 mos old

Walker is 8 months old today. He is pulling up and will be cruising any day now. Still no teeth. The one that I thought was coming in months ago is still giving him a fit. He is eating lunch and supper and will start breakfast tomorrow. He loves to smile, crawls as fast as lightning,  and loves to hug. He is a sweet boy!

Christmas program at fmp 12.18.13

Weston's first Christmas program was tonight. He did fantastic! He was so into all of the songs. I loved every second of it! Thank you fmp fir all that you do! We even saw Santa ( still didn't sit with him though )

12.8.13

Weston played the bells at fumc today with preschool for hanging of the greens. He did great shaking that yellows bell. He seemed nervous of course in front of the church but that was is how we thought he would be. Once the sings started he did great. He also helped pass out candy canes to the congregation with the children during children sermon. We had a reunion today with the smiths after church.

Fremont parade

Today was the Fremont Christmas parade. Weston rode in it for the first time with preschool. We had lunch with Santa before the parade. Afterwards we went to Trina's baby shower in knightdale. Was a fun day!

This cold and wet parade of 40 degrees was the day after near 80 temps when walker was able to swing in the backyard for the first time.

Up and at 'em

Walker is now pulling up. He has become at pro at it this weekend. This all happened so fast. He was doing an army crawl for the Longest Time and now full blown crawls and pulls up on anything. Can't believe how fast this happened! Weston went to his first ecu football game this weekend. We played UAB and won 63-14. He had a great time and was in heaven with all the numbers. That kid loves numbers!
Things they are into right now:
Walker: pulling up, crawling everywhere, putting anything in his mouth, likes to eat squash, pears, peaches, green beans

Weston: still train and tracks, showing us everything he does at school, turning on all the lights in the house, helping daddy put out corn for deer

Weston has been telling me things he is thankful for everyday. I've heard hotdogs, walker, me, deer so we have food,
The water tank in Fremont, leaves on the trees, and firefighters.

Halloween 13

Halloween came and walker was still sick so we didn't do much. Took Weston to trunk or treat in Fremont and that's all. He did get to sit in the fire truck again! Weston had a good time at his Halloween party with his class yesterday. I was glad I was able to attend with him. Here's some pics of our doctor and puppy.

Earaches and no sleep

Walker went for a 6 month check up last Wednesday. That day, Weston started to act a little sick and congested. He started running a fever with lots of runny nose. Saturday walker began to run a fever so they were both under the weather so I decided to take them both to the dr. Found out Weston had an ear infection and walker had some virus I can't pronounce. Fast forward to this Wednesday, walker has a very high fever so I have to take him in again (4 dr visits in one week) to find out that he has stage 4 double ear infection. So now, the day before the Halloween I was so excited about, I have 3 out of 4 ears infected, 2 on different antibiotics, and I'm sleep deprived. Here's hoping things are on the upswing now.

State fair 2013

We sure love a fair! We made the trip to the state fair on Sunday 10/20/13. It was walkers first trip and Weston's third. Weston only rode the train, just like at the county fair. We walked and looked and had a great family day. Here's a pic of our happy walker at the fair....he's 27 wks old.

Give peas a chance

Last night as I was getting ready to feed walker his second night of peas, I said "you ready for your peas?". Weston quickly bursted into song singing "I've got peas like a river". Hilarious!

Sweet potato...yum

Monday oct 7, 2013 was our first supper with all the folks in a seat at the table. We had family dinner and fed walker baby food for the first time. He seemed to really like the sweet potatoes and the high chair. He kicked around and laughed at us all. Love this little crowd!

First field trip

First field trip to deans farm was on sept 26. Hayride, picking pumpkins, feeding animals, and playing with friends on the big slide was so fun!

Bluegrass and hiking....

This weekend we went up to the fall festival at Grayson highlands. We listened to some bluegrass bands, ate, and Anthony and Weston hiked a bit around the park. Walker was a bit better in the car (for the most part) and we had a nice time. Walker also has a tooth just breaking through! Weston didn't feel good this morning, but was much better later I. The day. He picked apples in the park too!

First day!

Today was Weston's first day of preschool. The teacher said he wouldn't leave his seat:). His teacher mama had been preaching up him about not getting up and wandering around the room. He said he had a fun day!

Preschool here we come

Last night we went to open house at Fremont Methodist preschool with Weston. He was shy and overwhelmed while there but talked about his class, teacher mrs Laura, and friends he will make on the playground all night once we were home. He is excited about the slide! I am excited for him but also very nervous. I want him to be well behaved and hope that he is a good listener! Here are a few pics I was able to snap while he wasn't clinging to my leg.

And it comes to an end

Today is the last day of my maternity leave that continued into summer break. I will sure miss the boys tomorrow! I am thankful for the 4 months that I got to stay home with walker. I had to go back when Weston was only 6 weeks old, so this has been a blessing. Praying for a fantastic school year, the children I will teach, and my own children each day.

3 years and 4 months

Today we tracked it to Lagrange for both of the boys check ups. They did great! We saw dr ponzi who told us they both look great! Walker weighed 16 lbs at 4 months and Weston weighed 32 lbs at 3 years. Weston also had his first eye exam and did fantastic. He had to tell the shapes he saw, and was proud when he peepee in the cup:). Walker had some shots to get which is always worse for me I think. He handled it like a champ. Walker s also 4 mos. old today. He can roll from tummy to back and back to tummy, grab what he wants, push off with his feet, and make everyone smile. He's a happy dude! He was dedicated at pleasant grove on Sunday aug 11.

BIg boy beds...jan 21

Well, today was the day that I lost the baby in the house (Thank goodness there is another one coming to fill the void :)).  I had been meaning to get Weston out of the crib, due to the amount of space that he did not have and how he would wake himself up throughout the night because of the tight quarters.  So, today we decided to switch the rooms. We took the spare bedroom furniture (which will be #2s room) and moved it into Weston's room, which meant moving the crib to the spare bedroom that will no longer have that title. Weston did well sleeping in his bed the first night.  he did wake up in the middle of the night and walked to me, but was easy to get back down.   He loves his big boy bed and I am thankful for the good friends that helped Anthony with this task so that I could enjoy my MLK Jr. Day at La Paz for lunch.  yum.  Mexican is one of the fave cravings.  Anyhoo, here is the new room that Weston loves and hopefully will get very used to sleeping in.
Here is the picture of the bed. Thankfully
the bedspread and things matched his
                                                                room perfectly!

Sitting up on his bed....So happy!
Snug as a bug.  He was tucked in tight on his first night!

Jan 20, 2013

Jan 20 was a sunday afternoon and it was a beautiful day!   We were excited to be outside for a big part of the afternoon while Anthony did some yardwork.  These pictures show two of Weston's favorite things to ride. He discovered that the "Hill" (extremely small hump in our yard)  was fun to push his bike up and then fly down.  I should have never encouraged that trick, but it was fun and he laughed and laughed.  He also still loves his TowMater even though he is a little big for it now. This boy loves to ride and be on the go. we do have to keep a tricycle in the house for him because of the cold weather. He rides it up and down the halls and all around the dining room and kitchen.  We also went to Wilson and he was able to have his windown down in the backseat, yelling, "Faster Daddy" the whole way home. I am going to be in for it when this child turns 16.

jan16

i may not post on here everyday, but i am trying to get a picture per day and I email it to myself with a tad of info about that day.  so....jan 16, this is Weston sleeping.  i love how peaceful they are when they sleep.

jan 15

had an OB appt today and measured right on time.  Saw Dr. Nowachek and he said that we would start looking at dates for the c section.  he agreed to do it for us!  we enjoyed talking with him today.  next appt will be a sugar test.

weston is doing well with potty training.  usually no wet pants in a day (with reminders), but the #2 needs some help. he is getting there and is so proud when he makes it.  hopefully he will have it before walker comes along.

This 2 year old tornado strikes my house every night.  will we have room for walker's things?
(i think that i may have figured out the uploading again.  i just cant get it from the ipad, i have to do it from the pc.  any suggestions?)

jan 14

so tech savvy!  he loves to watch mickey mouse clubhouse, especially Mickeys Road Rally interactive game on the Ipad.  He has taken it over and quite frankly, he probably works it better than i do :)
