Easter 2014

Today we went to church, then had lunch at Texas in Wilson. After lunch we went to mema Betty's house. Nette and papa came over for supper. We are in spring break this week so I am excited for having some time off when I (hopefully) am not sick! Easter bunny brought the boys each a shirt. Weston got a pirate ship shirt and walker got a captain shirt.

Egg hunts

Weston had an egg hunt at school with his friends. He loved it and had so much fun! He got a bucket full and then had a party in his classroom. His class also performed "Jesus went up on the mountain" and did so great! We went to the bunny brunch at FMC this morning and walker sat with the Easter bunny. Weston would not but we had a great time. 

Walkers first bday!

April 13, 2014....walkers first bday. I took this picture at exactly one year later (12:40 am).

I was not feeling well and could not get out of bed to celebrate the way that I wanted to today, so we stayed home. I napped with walker and tried to do as much as I could with him but it was quick stuff and then back to bed. I did manage to get this picture of him when he was eating supper. 

A few things walker loves right now:  ice cream, putting buckets on his head, taking baths, drinking water, climbing steps, eating grits, and being outside

Walker you are such a joy and I live you more than you will ever know. I'm so thankful that I am your mama! 

Bday party fun

Today we celebrated walkers first birthday. It was a great day! The weather was perfect, the cake was delicious, and everyone had a great time. He got some new clothes, new shoes, his own chair, pool clothes and float, new toys, his very own train (because he loves his brother's and his brother doesn't like to let him play with his). Family joined us. We are really very blessed and I am thankful for the support we have for our kids. 

Daffodil festival

April 5 was walkers first daffodil festival and Weston's first daffodil performance. Weston sang with his preschool and did a fab job! They ate at wts with nana, Trina, Hadley, grandma, nette, and papa. It was a beautiful day!

Hospital stay

On march 25, I began having chills and a high fever. I went to the dr to get antibiotics for mastitis. This led to no improvements over the next 24 hours and a trip to the ER. At the ER they told me that I needed to be on IV antibiotics and they would be keeping me. In Wayne memorial until Monday and then transferred to Pitt. I ended up with strep in my breast tissue which ended up clogging my milk ducts. Ultrasounds, cultures, feeling like death all kept me away for a week. I missed my boys so much as I had never left them for that long. Anthony and my mom stayed with me around the clock and many visitors helped to pass the time. I am blessed to have had so many praying for me. I definitely felt the touch from Him. It was a nightmare. I found out I was allergic to the medicines they were giving me, needed Benadryl before each dose, headache medicine after each dose and many tears between the doses dreading the next stick. I am thankful to be much better!
