jan 4 means 21 weeks

the countdown is on..only 18 more weeks til we meet baby 2.  we will be having a c section at 39 weeks so that is why it does not add up to 40 :).  very excited but have so much to do. 

the pic a day thing is going on in my camera world, but this blogger world is not as friendly.    I cannot get the pics to post where they can be seen and I am having difficulty figuring out how I can do this with the new look. I would try another blogging site, but would hate to lose all that I have posted thus far. SO, my conclusion is that it is better to diary anything that nothing at all.  Had dinner with some pals tonight which was much needed. Thanks to my mom for baby sitting.   I needed it after this hectic short week back at school. I can tell that I am going to be HUGE by May, and this is already frustrating me so maybe I do not need to be going out to eat and eating as much...ha!

Maybe I will get the pics to post at some point. Fingers crossed!

Two and a half years

Jan 3, 2013.....30 months ago. 2 and a half years.

This boy changed our lives on July 3, 2010 and time is flying by.

Things he loves: Mickey Mouse clubhouse, fire trucks, Christmas lights (thank God our neighbors are the type that leave them up practically all year), all of the dogs in his life, airplanes, riding his bike, feeding the animals, talking, chicken nuggets, orange juice, green beans, and being sweet.

Day 2

Almost forgot to take the pic today and it is only day 2. Ha! Here is a pic of Weston's new obsession, weird toys at bedtime. He has just started asking to take tons of things with him. Tonight he has a plush Mickey, two airplanes, a book, a ball, and my cell phone. Such a crazy thing he's gotten into lately. Cute though, right? :)

Challenge 365

Today is day one of 2013 which means I am going to try this challenge for the new year.  Gonna try to snap a pic everyday and write a short caption to compile together to make a book to one day give to the kids.

Last day of 2012

With Christmas passing by so quickly, I reflect on the last year and realize just ahoy fast time does get away from me.  It was September when I last posted :(. I just (like in the last 10 minutes) found a wonderful photo idea on Pinterest and will make that my resolution in 2013.....I will post almost daily with a pic or memory to make into a book for each year. I find it so hard to keep all of Weston's pictures in order to make a book for this month, that event, etc so will try to do I this way to see if I am better with it all.  I mean, it will all slip by me if I'm not careful and I will have a zillion prints with no special caption or memory. 2013 has so much In store for my little family.  We found out in September that we are expecting another bundle of joy and learned a few weeks ago that it is a boy.  We are excited and can't wait to see the similarities in the two kids.  Weston is so sweet, kind, etc that I hope he is able to teach little brother some of the traits.  Man does he have an awesome memory! Sometimes I really have to thinks about things he says that happened 6 months ago.  It's amazing to me.  As this break ends, I will miss being at home with Weston, and hanging with him everyday but now that it will only be a short time tilt he new babe will be here and I will be ending the school year early.  So with that, I leave you with a precious little two year old.  Goodbye 2012, you have been super kind to us!

Back in the swing of things

At 26 months, Weston Really is something! He loves outside and thank goodness loves to read. Favorite stories right now are The three little pigs, sesame street sleep tight, and still finding goldbugs! The sweetest thing yesterday was when he got very quiet and I went looking for him to walk into his room and catch him reading. Absolutely precios! We are now starting week 3 of back to school and things are going well. I miss him everyday but love coming home in the afternoon to him calling my name and running to hug me. He loves the pirates (which I am very happy about)! I recorded their entrance at the game last week and he watches it several times a day yelling "go pirates, arrrrggghh" . Again, precious. He named his chicken at nette's house princess (why I don't know). He still enjoys feeding all of the animals over there and is very helpful in feeding ranger here at our house. He is wide open and keeps me on my toes but I wouldn't have it any other way. Oh, and we are using the potty more frequently so hopefully that bridge will be crossed soon.

oh how time flies

Well, well. Here it is a year after my last post. Time really flies by and I did not even realize that I had not posted in so long. Weston has just turned 2. He got a tricycle, some clothes, toys, and books. I guess that takes care of the 4 gifts that I have recently learned on pinterest...1 want, 1 need, 1 to wear, 1 to read. He had a great time opening presents and clapped and said "Yay" after each one. Weston is really a talker now. His little sentences crack me up. He often says "I dont wike it" for anything that I ask him about. He loves to play ball. He can hit when we pitch to him and can throw the ball up and hit it himself sometimes. He loves to hit it and then run around through our kitchen like he is running the bases. He also loves to ride anything, climb anything, watch barney and elmo when he is sleepy, and eats a lot of ham, bacon, chicken, and bologna, oh yeah and hotdogs. Weston went on the bike trail again over his birthday week. He loved it! WEston and I left on his birthday (after breakfast with daddy) to go to the mountains for the remainder of the week. He slept most of the way there and had such a great time while there with family. He is now using the potty some. He told me yesterday that he had to use it...and DID! I was so proud of him. This week is his first week of VBS and he is enjoying being with the other kids, as long as I am still in sight. There are about 15 in his class every night but he is the youngest because he has just turned 2. He loves the singing and I love hearing him sing. He loves to listen to Eric Church in the car and his favorite song is Springsteen. It is so funny to hear him sing it! I am really going to be better at this posting thing. I want to be able to look back and know that I kept up with milestones and events and not be reminded at how slack I am.
